THE WEATHER MAN
Mishaal Al Roomi, The Details of Him You Have Never Heard of Before!
Reveal his story:
" I am currently 20. Weather is my hobby, it has been for over a decade. Let me explain it from the beggining: I loved weather since i was 6. I used to look up at the sky and watch the clouds, waiting for the rain to pour and the lightning to flash along with the rumble of thunder that accompanies the flashes. I got very interested in the weather and by 7/8 i started to watch the weather forecasts on tv everyday, i would memorize them. By 9 years of age i started to read lots of books, research alot on the internet, learnt alone. After a couple of years i was satisfied about my knowledge in weather so i started a simple site about the weather. I used to update it once a while. Gradually it improved more and more along with my improved knowledge about weather/meteorology. People started to recognize me when i turned 15. Radio shows talked a bit about me. KUNA ( Kuwait News Agency) interviewed me and spread it to all local english and arabic newspapers. After the slight encouragement i took my site more seriously. I put a "site counter" and realized that HUNDREDS of visitors daily visited my site with the visitors gradually increasing. I started with a small sms weather group that had about 8 members(my family). Now, the members in my sms weather group is about 50 people and increasing. Recently i joined the Kuwait Science Club. In 2 months i have went from a member to a "weather teacher" and now Supervisor of the Kuwait Science Club Meteorology Department. Also recently many magazines have interviewed me and blogs have written about me. I started this hobby by simply looking at the sky and now i can simply say: "I could not know more about the weather than i do now"
-What i have written is not to show off but for a purpose, a "point". That point is that if you like something dont let it go, i started simply by looking up at the sky. If you have a hobby build it. Never leave a hobby hanging, never be discouraged. I worked alone at first, no one cared and know one believed me. Now, i get too many emails to handle. Work alone and build the hobby you have. Its like a residence building, workers will build it, cement, bricks, glass, furniture, electricity, etc.. and not until it is completely built will the people move into it. The workers work alone to build the building and once it has been built it gets populated gradually by people. Thats exactly like a hobby, you start by a brick, in my case by looking at the sky, then gradually build your hobby until it gets populated by people. Now this site has thousands of visitors daily but where did the number start? It started as "one visitor".
I thank everyone who has encouraged me to this point. Thank you, you made the impossible possible for me.
For my visitors thank you too alot! My goal is to help other people who have hobbies and i wish you could help. If you have any ideas or want to meet me, please email me:
